Looking for a protein backed breakfast that's simple to make, requires zero cook time and will take you less than 15 minutes to make. Then this protien packed pineapple, dragon fruit smoothie bowl might just be the perfect thing for you. This smoothie bowl recipe completely vegan, plant based, and high in protein thanks to my favorite plant based protein powder Earth Chimps.
Ingredients And Subsistuions
Vegan protein powder: I used Earth Chimps Vegan Vanilla Protein powder. The protein powder makes our smoothie bowl packed with protein as well as adding probiotics and digestive enzymes. I prefer using the vanilla flavor for this in spec as the rich, delicious vanilla flavor pairs perfectly with the tropical fruit.
Frozen Dragonfruit: I highest opting for frozen dragon fruit for this smoothie bowl, as the frozen fruit is able to create a thick, creamy smoothie texture. If you don't have frozen dragonfruit on hand you opt for another frozen fruit such as açaí or banana.
Mango: Feel free to use fresh or frozen mango. I used a fresh mango but anything would work here. Additionally you can sub the mango for another fruit.
Frozen passion fruit cubes: The passion fruit adds a slight tartness and tangy flavor to the bowl which is so refreshing. I highly signets using only frozen passionfruit cubes (without seeds) as the the texture works best for a smoothie bowl. If you can't find frozen passion fruit cubes you can sub passionfruit for 1/4 cup of any other frozen fruit.
Frozen pineapple: Pineapple creates a smooth, creamy and thick smoothie consistency. I highly suggest using frozen pineapple cut into cubes for this smoothie
Coconut Milk: Both bottled or canned milk would work here. Additionally feel free to sub coconut milk for any other plant based
