Planning a trip somewhere new can be a lot of work. Especially when you’re on your on the hunt for the perfect spot to stay. But I’m here to share of my personal favorite spots to enjoy a trip when traveling up south to San Diego.
This is none other than Lakehouse Hotel & Resort. I absolutely adore this resort as it's tucked away from the hustle of the downtown city and located on the most scenic lake in north county San Diego. Ultimately making it best spot for peaceful and relaxed getaway. And the rooms & countless great amenities at the property are simply more reasons to fall in love with this place.
Back in September Lakehouse Hotel & Resort set me up with their signature pool view studio suite. Walking into the room I immediately loved the overall aesthetic, the room had coastal, beach inspired vibes with the gorgeous light blue walls and beautiful decor. The suite itself had a large king bed which was so comfy and even a sofa bed. And whether I was in my room or enjoying time outside I felt as though everywhere was so well decorated and thought out that I enjoyed spending time in any area of the resort.
Along with rooms the several pools and hot tubs on the property are musts for a relaxing and fun vacation perfect for the whole family. I especially appreciated the unique and one of kind experiences this place had to offer. For example this resort has one of the largest lakes where guests can rent a variety of boats from canoes, pontoons and more.
And if your hungry there’s not only one but two gorgeous on site restaurants which just so happen to have some of the best dining views. These include The Grill At Saint Mark and Amalfi Cucina. During my stay I went out for dinner at The Grill and found both the atmosphere and food at the restaurant spectacular. The restaurant itself is located on the resorts golf course and vistors here are able to enjoy a meal inside the restaurant or on the gorgeous & spacious outdoor patio. I dined at the patio area which was lit up with the prettiest lights and had a great ambiance with live music and an overall lively, welcoming atmosphere. The restraunts menu features a variety of dishes, all of which were delicious and tasted incredibly fresh.
Along with these restaurants Lakehouse also has all day room service with a huge selection of menu items and an adorable coffee shop cafe with both drinks and fresh baked pastries!! I tried food from both and found the quality and overall flavor profile of each places items great.
